Philadelphia, PA.- The Goldey-Beacom College Lightning (11-13, 5-9 CACC) were unable to overcome the Holy Family University Tigers (11-12, 9-3 CACC) on the road on Tuesday night. The Tigers won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match by set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 16-25, 25-14.
The Tigers were led by junior outside hitter Rachel Johnson (Lincoln Way West H.S. /New Lenox, Ill.) who posted a game match high 13 kills to go along with seven digs. Freshman outside hitter Melanie Ingram (Upper Merion H.S./King of Prussia, Pa.) posted a "double double" tallying 10 kills in addition to 15 digs.
The Lightning who drop to 2-4 in 4-set matches this year, were led by senior middle hitter
Taylor Moyer (Blue Mountain H.S./ Haven, Pa.) who posted eight kills in 16 attack attempts with no attack errors. Senior outside hitter
Kadi McCoy (Dallatown H.S./ Dallastown, Pa.) posted a team high nine kills for the Lightning.
Junior defensive specialist
Mackenzie Wilson (Concord H.S./Wilmington, Del.) posted a team high 16 digs.
The Lightning will look to overcome a two match losing streak when they host CACC opponent Post University for their annual "Dig Pink" match starting at 7:00PM.
