PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Freshman
Crystal McCollum (North East H.S./Elkton, Md.) finished in 31st place as the Goldey-Beacom College women's cross country team earned an 11st place team finish at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial Cross Country Championship at Belmont Plateau on Saturday afternoon.
St. Thomas Aquinas College earned first place after scoring 52 points with a pair of runners among the top 10 finishers. Meanwhile, Philadelphia University claimed second place with a score of 67 points.
McCollum completed the race in a time of 25 minutes, 55 seconds to lead the Lightning while freshman
Jordan Dodson (Perryville H.S./Port Deposit, Md.) followed in 37th place with a time of 26:12. Senior
Ashley Zaccaria (Gloucester City H.S./Gloucester City, N.J.) turned in a time of 28:51 to finish in 62nd place while sophomore
Ariel Richardson (St. George's Tech H.S./New Castle, Del.) finished in 69th place with a time of 29 minutes, 48 seconds.
The Lightning will compete at the Hood College Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 18.
