WILMINGTON, Del. - Junior forward Luiz Ristow (Joinville, Brazil) and senior midfielder Andre Jank (Campo Grande, Brazil) each scored a goal in the second half to lead Goldey-Beacom College (2-6-0, 1-3-0) to its second straight win, a 2-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Nyack College (3-4-1, 1-3-0) at the Lightning's Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Lightning, who have won back-to-back games for the first time since the 2010 season, also claimed their first CACC victory since edging Holy Family by a 2-1 margin on Oct. 10, 2012, a streak of six matches.

After a scoreless first half, Ristow gave the Lightning a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute when he scored his second goal of the season on a long shot from the top of the penalty area.

Just over 12 minutes later, Jank added an insurance goal when he tallied his team-leading fourth goal of the season on a sharp angle on the near side off an assist from sophomore Ernest Ackah (Smyrna H.S./Smyrna, Del.).

From there, senior goalkeeper Carlos Meinhard (Caracas, Venezuela) and the Lightning defense preserved the shutout despite being outshot by a 20-7 margin.

Meinhard, who earned the first solo shutout of his college career, made five saves, including four in the second half.

Meanwhile, freshman goalkeeper Tom Lohman (Berlin, Germany) tallied one save in a losing effort for the Warriors, who lost their second straight match.

The Lightning, who are in the middle of playing four matches in a seven-day span, will visit NYIT for a non-conference match on Monday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m.
