CALDWELL, N.J. - Freshman outside hitter
Taylor Zaeske (South Milwaukee H.S./South Milwaukee, Wisc.) tallied a match-high 12 kills and hit .435 as Caldwell College (8-7, 5-0) earned its third straight win with a three-set Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Goldey-Beacom College (4-7, 0-3) at the George R. Newman Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars, who were playing in their third match in four days, earned the victory by set scores of 25-9, 25-10 and 25-12.
Zaeske, who also tallied four digs in the victory, recorded her 12 kills on just 23 attack attempts with two errors. Meanwhile, junior outside hitter
Athena Nestoras (St. Monica H.S./Los Angeles, Calif.) contributed 14 digs along with six kills.
Freshman setter
Rachel Carpenter (Newark H.S./Newark, Ohio) tallied 25 assists along with seven digs for the Cougars, who posted a .269 hitting percentager.
Junior outside hitter
Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) led the Lightning with seven kills and four digs while sophomore
Mackenzie Wilson (Concord H.S./Wilmington, Del.) had a team-high eight digs.
The Lightning will continue their four-match road trip on Tuesday, Oct. 1 when they visit Holy Family University for a 7 p.m. CACC match.
