CALDWELL, N.J. – Freshman forward Haakon Sulheim (Lillehammer, Norway) scored the first two goals of his college career to lead Caldwell College to its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference win of the season, a 5-0 victory over Goldey-Beacom College (0-4) at the Caldwell College Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars, who won their second straight match, scored four of their five goals in the second half en route to the victory.
Sulheim gave Caldwell a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute when he scored an unassisted goal after gathering a loose ball along the goal line. Just over two minutes into the second half, he upped the Cougars' advantage to 2-0 when he scored on a 22-yard blast for an unassisted goal.

In the 50th minute, junior midfielder Cole Downs (Brick Township H.S./Bricktown, N.J.) extended the margin to 3-0 when he took a crossing pass from sophomore defender Evan Marques and scored his first goal of the season into the upper left corner.

Senior defender Kristopher Olsen-Barr (Brick Township H.S./Brick Township, N.J.) increased the Cougars' lead to 4-0 in the 54th minute with his first goal of the season off an assist from junior forward Tim Centineo (Holmdel H.S./Holmdel, N.J.).

Just over two minutes later, Centineo scored his first goal of the season when he converted a rebound of a shot from junior defender Kyle Felton (Toms River South H.S./Toms River, N.J.) that hit the crossbar.

Led by sophomore goalkeeper Michael Hartmann (Shawnee H.S/Medford, N.J.), the Cougars limited Goldey-Beacom to just 10 shots, including three in the second half. He made four saves en route to his first shutout of the season.

Senior goalkeeper Carlos Meinhard (Caracas, Venezuela) made four saves in a losing effort for the Lightning while freshman goalkeeper Coulter Truitt (Sussex Central H.S./Millsboro, Del.) made two saves in his college debut.

The Lightning, who have been outscored by a 16-3 margin in their first four matches, will resume their CACC schedule on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Philadelphia University for a 4:30 p.m. match. It will be the last match of a season-opening five-match road trip.
