Orth Leads Women's Cross Country at West Chester Invite

Freshman Earns Fourth Place in Javelin Throw

WEST CHESTER, Pa.
- Freshman Valarie Orth (Schalick H.S./Pittsgrove, N.J.) earned a pair of top 10 finishes as members of the Goldey-Beacom College women's cross country team competed at the West Chester University Collegiate Invitiational at John A. Farrell Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

After earning an eighth place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (18.22), Orth recorded a fourth place effort in the javelin throw with a distance of 32.38 meters.

Freshman Leshae Lee (Joppatowne H.S./Edgewood, Md.) finished in 13th place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:13.52 while freshman Sarah Grzybowski (Concord H.S./Wilmington, Del.) took 24th place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:58.62.

Junior Tigan Frisby (Mount Pleasant H.S./Claymont, Del.) completed the 200-meter dash in a time of 29.13 seconds to earn ninth place while senior Alyssa Murray (Hodgson Vo-Tech H.S./Townsend, Del.) was seventh in the 3000-meter steeplechase after crossing the finish line in 18 minutes, 5.10 seconds.
