WILMINGTON, Del. - Members of the Goldey-Beacom College women's tennis team visited Archmere Academy in early February to give a series of culture presentations to students in the school's Spanish classes.
Several members of the team, who are from Spanish-speaking countries, made their presentations in their native language while the remaining studnet-athletes spoke about their home countries in English.
After the event ended, the team enjoyed lunch at the school and took a tour of the campus.
According to Coach
Joe Kissel, the team is hoping to make the visit to Archmere Academy on a yearly basis.
Now 13-4 on the season, the Lightning will be idle until Apr. 7 when they visit Queens College for a non-conference match.
