PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Junior middle hitter
Terra Ecker (East Chapel Hill H.S./Chapel Hill, N.C.) posted a match-high 11 kills and hit an outstanding .733 as Philadelphia University (7-7, 6-2) earned its second straight win with a three-set Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Goldey-Beacom College (4-11, 0-7) at the Rams' Gallagher Center on Wednesday evening.
The Rams, who hit .347 as a team with just six attack errors, claimed the win by set scores of 25-10, 25-13 and 25-10.
While Ecker led the Rams to the victory, senior outside hitter
Brittany Olson (Sycamore H.S./Sycamore, Ill.) added six kills with a .353 hitting percentage and eight digs. In addition, sophomore middle hitter
Chelsea Hughes (Shoreham-Wading River H.S./Wading River, N.Y.) contributed five kills off the bench.
Junior outside hitter
Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) led the Lightning in the loss by tallying six kills with a team-high 11 digs while freshman middle hitter
Casey Bair (Winters Mill H.S./Westminster, Md.) added five kills.
The Lightning, who suffered their fifth straight loss, will host the University of the Sciences on Friday, Oct. 11 in a CACC South Division match-up at 7 p.m.
