LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Sophomore defender
Daniel Bennett (Arthur P. Schalick H.S./Pittsgrove, N.J.) scored with six seconds remaining in regulation as Goldey-Beacom College (2-7-1, 1-3-1) and Georgian Court University (5-4-1, 2-3-1) battled to a 1-1 double overtime tie in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match at Investors Savings Bank Field on Wednesday afternoon.
The tie allowed the Lightning to improve to 2-1-1 in their last four matches, which were played in a seven-day span. Meanwhile, the Lions extended their unbeaten streak to two matches after a three-match losing streak.
Bennett, who scored his second goal of the season, tied the game at 1-1 when he headed in a shot to the bottom left corner off an assist from freshman defender

Freshman
Sebastian Gostynski (St. Charles North H.S./Garfield, N.J.) gave the Lions a 1-0 lead in the 62nd minute when he tallied an assist from freshman
Bradley Golec (Benjamin Bosse H.S./Evansville, Ind.) with a shot into the upper left corner.
Senior goalkeeper
Carlos Meinhard (Caracas, Venezuela) tallied six saves for the Lightning, who earned their first tie since a 2-2 draw against Nyack College on Oct. 20, 2007.
Meanwhile, junior goalkeeper
Rylan Gentil (Poseyville, Ind.) made nine saves for the Lions, who were outshot by a 20-18 margin.
The Lightning will return home on Saturday, Oct. 5 to host Dominican College in their annual Homecoming match at 2 p.m.
