SALISBURY, Md. - Senior
Elizabeth Williams (A.I. duPont H.S./Wilmington, Del.) finished in 81st place to lead the Goldey-Beacom College women's cross country team to a 12th place finish at the Don Cathcart Invitational at Winter Place Park on Saturday morning.
Led by Williams, the Lightning scored 366 points to finish in 12th place while Salisbury won the meet by scoring 84 points.
Williams, who was the Lightning's top finisher for the fourth straight meet, turned in a time of 27:10 on the 6K course while freshman
Sarah Grzybowski (Concord H.S./Wilmington, Del.) followed in 88th place with a time of 27:47.
Junior
Carly Mitchell (Elkton H.S./Elkton, Md.) completed the race in 28 minutes, 41 seconds to earn 96th place while freshman
Valarie Orth (Schalick H.S./Pittsgrove, N.J.) was 98th with a time of 29:00.
Senior
Felicia Justice (Clearfield H.S./West Point, Utah) earned 101st place with a time of 29:15 while freshman
Leshae Lee (Joppatowne H.S./Edgewood, Md.) followed in 106th place with a time of 30:38.
Junior
Tigan Frisby (Mount Pleasant H.S./Claymont, Del.) had a time of 30:56 to finish in 109th place.
The Lightning will return to action on Friday, Oct. 5 to host the annual Goldey-Beacom College Fall Classic at Carousel Park. The women's race will be held at 5 p.m. while the men's race will start at approximately 5:35 p.m.
