The Lightning enter Wednesday's match looking to snap a three-match losing streak after dropping a four-set decision against the University of the Sciences on Monday night at the Jones Center. Senior setter/opposite Monica Dempsey (Secaucus H.S./Secaucus, N.J.) led the Lightning against the Devils on Monday by posting the fifth "triple double" of her career with 11 kills, 15 assists and 15 digs. She also hit a season-high .417 and contributed a season-high four service aces, upping her career total to 159.

Dempsey, who ranks fourth in school history in career digs, also moved into a tie for fourth place on the Lightning's career service aces list.

Meanwhile, freshman setter Jamika Townsend (King's Fork H.S./Suffolk, Va.) earned the first "double double" of her college career with a season-high 25 assists while contributing 12 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) nearly missed a "double double" with a team-high 15 kills and 9 digs.

The second-leading hitter in the CACC with a 3.22 kill per set average, McCoy leads the Lightning with 116 kills in 10 matches this season and also ranks second on the team with 14 service aces. Meanwhile, sophomore outside hitter Taylor Moyer (Blue Mountain H.S./Schuylkill Haven, Pa.) ranks fourth in the CACC with a .248 hitting percentage and has contributed 96 kills this season.

Currently 4-8 overall and 0-2 in the CACC, the Griffins have dropped three of their last four matches after suffering a pair of defeats against Nyack and Dowling on Saturday afternoon at the Sorgenti Arena. Freshman outside hitter Abby Gruver (Coplay, Pa.) led the Griffins by tallying 19 kills in the two matches.

Gruver leads the Griffins with 99 kills in 12 matches while also ranking second on the team with 100 digs and 10 service aces. Meanwhile, Mary Markowski has contributed a team-high 30 blocks along with 64 kills and a team-high .268 hitting percentage.

The Griffins won both meetings against the Lightning last year, including a thrilling five-set victory at Goldey-Beacom.
