WILMINGTON, Del.
- After dropping a pair of non-conference matches on Saturday afternoon, the Lightning volleyball team will return to the Joseph West Jones College Center on Monday night to host the University of the Sciences in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match at 7 p.m.

It will be the first of three CACC matches for the Lightning this week, who will also visit Chestnut Hill and Felician.

Now 4-5 on the season, the Lightning have lost three of their last four matches after dropping a pair of three-set matches against Mercy and Southern New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon. The Lightning's lone win during that stretch was a three-set victory over Bowie State on Thursday night.

Sophomore outside hitter Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) led the Lightning with 25 kills and a ,286 hitting percentage in the two losses. She had 13 kills with six digs against Mercy before contributing 12 kills with eight digs in the Lightning's loss against Southern New Hampshire.

Meanwhile, senior setter/opposite Monica Dempsey (Secaucus H.S./Secaucus, N.J.) posted a team-high 21 digs on Saturday, including the 1,000th of her college career. With 1,016 digs, Dempsey now ranks fourth in Goldey-Beacom volleyball history.

McCoy leads the Lightning with 101 kills in nine matches, which ranks fourth in the CACC. With a 3.16 kill per set average, she ranks second in the CACC. Meanwhile, sophomore outside hitter Taylor Moyer (Blue Mountain H.S./Schuylkill Haven, Pa.) is tied for third in the CACC with a .258 hitting percentage while ranking fourth in the conference by averaging 2.75 kills per set.

With 19 service aces in nine matches, Dempsey ranks fourth in the CACC while senior middle hitter Catherine Howard (William Penn H.S./New Castle, Del.) ranks sixth in the CACC with 29 blocks.

Currently 3-5 on the season, the Devils have been idle since a three-set loss against West Chester last Tuesday evening. The Devils will be looking to snap a three-match losing streak when they visit the Lightning on Monday night.

Sophomore outside hitter Amanda DeAngelo (Vestal H.S./Vestal, N.Y.) leads the Devils with 89 kills in 33 sets, which ranks 12th in the CACC. Meanwhile, freshman middle hitter Caitlyn Crawford (Covington H.S./Covington, Ohio) is tied for third in the CACC with a .258 hitting percentage.

Senior libero/outside hitter Stacey Wooden (Pennsbury H.S./Levittown, Pa.) ranks third in the CACC by averaging 5.00 digs per set.

The Lightning earned a five-set victory over the Devils in last year's meeting at the Jones Center. After dropping the first two sets, the Lightning rallied to earn a 21-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-7 victory on Senior Night. McCoy led the Lightning with 12 kills and 18 digs while Dempsey contributed 34 assists and 9 digs.
