WILMINGTON, Del.
- Looking to remain undefeated, the Lightning women's tennis team will travel to the University of the Sciences on Tuesday afternoon for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match against the Devils. First serve at the McNeil Athletic Fields is set for 3 p.m.

Now 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in the CACC, the Lightning have won three straight regular season matches going back to last season after an 8-1 triumph over Philadelphia University on Sunday afternoon at the DelCastle Tennis Center. The Lightning won all six singles matches and claimed victory in two of three doubles matches.

Through the first two matches, the Lightning have won all 12 singles matches and five of six doubles matches. Both sophomore Stephanie Puentes Robinson (Bogota, Columbia) and senior Blanca Sancho (Zaragoza, Spain) have played very well in the early part of the season, teaming up to win both matches at number one doubles while extending their singles win streaks to six matches.

In leading the Lightning to Sunday's victory over the Rams, Sancho became the third player in school history to record 25 career singles victories with a 6-1, 6-3 win.

Off to a 1-1 start this season, the Devils posted a 9-0 victory over Post University on Sunday afternoon after losing by 9-0 at Holy Family last Thursday. The Rams will play five of their first six matches this season away from home with the lone exception coming against the Lightning on Tuesday.

The Rams earned shutout victories in all three of their doubles matches while allowing losing two games at number four singles.

The Lightning, who were picked to finish third in the CACC Preseason Coaches Poll, will return to the DelCastle Tennis Center on Friday afternoon for a 4 p.m. match against Caldwell College.
