WILMINGTON, Del. - Hoping to improve its chances of qualifying for the NCAA Division II Regionals, the Goldey-Beacom College women's tennis team will play its regular season finale on Sunday afternoon by hosting Molloy College at Archmere Academy at 12 p.m.
Now 8-6 overall, the Lightning will be competing for the first time since March 31 when Goldey-Beacom suffered a 6-3 setback against Queens College at the Granite Run Tennis Club.
Freshman
Stephanie Puentes and junior
Blanca Sancho earned wins at number one and two singles, respectively, against the Knights two weeks ago. Meanwhile, senior
Marina Sales and freshman
Filipa Correia posted the lone doubles win for Goldey-Beacom, which has dropped three of its last four matches.
Sunday's match will also mark the final regular season match for Sales, who has posted a 19-14 career singles record with a 23-20 career mark in doubles play.
