Frisby Leads Lightning at Widener University

Sophomore Finishes 47th in 100-Meter Dash

CHESTER, Pa.
- Sophomore Tigan Frisby finished in 47th place in the 100-meter dash as members of the Goldey-Beacom women's cross country team competed at the Danny Curran Invitational at Leslie C. Quick, Jr. Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Frisby, who was one of two Lightning runners in the 100-meter dash, finished the event in a time of 14.58 seconds while junior Alyssa Murray followed in a tie for 51th place with a mark of 14.84 seconds.

In addition, Frisby earned 50th place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 30.12 seconds while Murray followed in 55th place (30.84).

A pair of Goldey-Beacom runners competed in the 800-meter run as sophomore Symone Stewart posted a time of 2:54.27 for a 100th place finish while sophomore Carly Mitchell posted a time of 3:01.06, which was good for 110th place.

Junior Elizabeth Williams ran in the 1500-meter run and posted a time of 5:59.32, which earned her 101st place.

The Lightning also competed in a pair of relays, finishing in 14th place in the 4x100-meter relay (57.56) and 23rd place in the 4x400-meter relay (4:58.44).

Goldey-Beacom will continue its Spring season next weekend by competing at the Osprey Open hosted by Richard Stockton College.
