Williams Leads Women's Cross Country at NCAA Meet

Senior Completes Career With 161st Place Effort

2012 NCAA Division II East Regional Championship Results

NASHUA, N.H.
- Led by senior Elizabeth Williams (A.I. duPont H.S./Wilmington, Del.), the Lightning women's cross country team put the finishing touches on its 2012 season by competing at the 2012 NCAA Division II East Regional Championship at Mines Falls Park on Sunday morning.

Williams finished the 6K course in a time of 27:32 to earn 161st place while senior Felicia Justice (Clearfield H.S./West Point, Utah) followed in 169th place with a time of 28:32.

Meanwhile, freshman Sarah Grzybowski (Concord H.S./Wilmington, Del.) crossed the finish line in 28 minutes, 57 seconds to earn 172nd place while freshman Valarie Orth (Schalick H.S./Pittsgrove, N.J.) earned 179th place by finishing the race in a time of 30:25.

Senior Alyssa Murray (Hodgson Vo-Tech H.S./Townsend, Del.) posted a time of 30:34 to earn 180th place.

Stonehill College earned the team title with 67 points after placing three runners in the top 15 finishers while Adelphi followed in second place with 97 points.
