WILMINGTON, Del. – Freshman setter/opposite Alex Siolos (Westhampton Beach H.S./East Moriches, N.Y.) tallied nine kills and hit .562 as Wilmington University (24-4, 16-0) extended its win streak to 14 consecutive matches with a three-set Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Goldey-Beacom College (4-19, 0-15) at the Lightning's Joseph West Jones College Center on Tuesday evening.

The Wildcats, who remain unbeaten in the CACC this season, earned the victory over the Lightning by scores of 25-17, 25-15 and 25-13.

Siolos, who also contributed six digs in the victory, led Wilmington to the win while freshman outside hitter Kaitlin DiGiacinto (Old Mill H.S./Glen Burnie, Md.) added a match-high 11 kills and five digs.

In addition, senior outside hitter Nicole Wiechecki (Ursuline Academy/Wilmington, Del.) contributed seven kills and four digs as the Wildcats hit .280 in the match and had seven total team blocks.

Sophomore outside hitter Taylor Moyer (Blue Mountain H.S./Schuylkill Haven, Pa.) led the Lightning in a losing effort with eight kills and three blocks while sophomore outside hitter Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) contributed seven kills with nine digs and four service aces. Freshman libero Mackenzie Wilson (Concord H.S./Wilmington, Del.) tallied a team-high 13 digs.

The Lightning, who have lost 16 matches in a row, will travel to Bloomfield College on Saturday afternoon for a 12 p.m. CACC match against the Deacons. Meanwhile, Wilmington will return home on Friday night to host the University of the Sciences at 7 p.m.
