ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – Led by seven kills and a .636 hitting percentage from sophomore middle blocker
Kayla Dexter (Selah H.S./Selah, Wash.), Dominican College (18-7, 14-0) extended its win streak to 12 straight matches with a three-set Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Goldey-Beacom College (4-18, 0-14) at Coach Baxter Court on Saturday afternoon.
The Chargers, who are in first place in the CACC North Division, remain unbeaten in conference play after winning the match by scores of 26-24, 25-6 and 25-14.
While Dexter led the Chargers to the victory, freshman outside hitter
Tori Dexter (Selah H.S./Selah, Wash.) added seven kills with seven digs. Meanwhile, junior opposite
Randi Garrett (KLD H.S./Rockledge, Fla.) contributed five kills and a .400 hitting percentage.
Senior setter
Whitney Ranger (Buena H.S./Ventura, Calif.) tallied a match-high 26 assists while contributing five digs and four kills.
Sophomore outside hitter
Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) led the Lightning with seven kills and 10 digs in a losing effort while senior setter/opposite
Monica Dempsey (Secaucus H.S./Secaucus, N.J.) posted 12 assists with nine digs and three service aces.
The Lightning, who have lost 15 matches in a row, will return to the Joseph West Jones College Center on Tuesday night when they host Wilmington University in a CACC match at 7 p.m.
