WILMINGTON, Del. – Junior middle blocker Sarah Ambach (Springboro H.S./Springboro, Ohio) tallied 12 kills and hit .391 as Holy Family University (10-14, 8-5) earned its seventh win in the last eight matches with a three-set Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Goldey-Beacom College (4-16, 0-12) at the Lightning's Joseph West Jones College Center on Wednesday evening.

The win, which Holy Family earned by scores of 26-24, 25-15 and 25-19, allowed the Tigers to earn a season sweep over the Lightning after Holy Family defeated Goldey-Beacom on Sept. 28 in a three-set victory. Meanwhile, the Lightning dropped its 13th consecutive match.

While Ambach led the Tigers to the victory, freshman right side hitter Rachel Johnson (Lincoln Way West H.S./New Lenox, Ill.) recorded a match-high 14 kills along with seven digs. She also hit .333 for the Tigers, who posted a .256 hitting percentage as a team.

Sophomore outside hitter Devyn Ingram (Upper Merion H.S./King of Prussia, Pa.) posted 38 assists with three digs and two blocks while freshman defensive specialist Madi Mcshane (Parkland H.S./Allentown, Pa.) contributed a match-high 20 digs.

Sophomore outside hitter Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) led the Lightning with seven kills and nine digs while senior setter/opposite Monica Dempsey (Secaucus H.S./Secaucus, N.J.) nearly recorded a “double double” with 11 assists and 9 digs.

Sophomore defensive specialist Niki Receveur (Concord H.S./Wilmington, Del.) posted a team-high 11 digs for the Lightning in a losing effort.

The Lightning will start a quick two-match road trip on Friday night when they travel to Georgian Court University for a 6 p.m. match against the Lions. Meanwhile, the Tigers will return home on Friday night to face Philadelphia University at 7 p.m.
