Goldey-Beacom College bounced back after a loss at Felican to knock off the University of the Sciences 75-61, at Morgan Arena in Philadelphia.
A 3-pointer by Curtis Hopkins broke a 31-31 tie with 0:02 left in the first half.  The Lightning would never look back.

Both teams came out hot as the Lightning shot 50% from the floor (12-24) and 57% form 3-point range (4-7).  The Devils were able to match shooting 56% from 3.  GBC was led in the first half by Marcus Porter's 10 points and 6 rebounds while Rich Flemming added 7 points and 5 rebounds.

Goldey-Beacom came out strong in the second half scoring the first 9 points of the half, stretching the halftime lead to 12 with 17:00 left.  From that point the game was never really in doubt as the lead would grow to as many as 15 and would never get below 9 points the rest of the way.

Marcus Porter led the way with 22 points as four Lightning players would reach double figures.  A.J. Picard scored 14 points while Rich Flemming and Tariq Uqdah chipped in with 13 and 10 points respectively.  Rich Flemming and Marcus Porter each pulled down 9 rebounds while Jordan Brooks dished out 9 assists while scoring 7 points.  Overall this was a good team win as everyone got in the game, and contributed to the victory.

The Lightning travel to Holy Family on Wednesday January 18th to face a Tigers team that is currently 3-1 at home on the season.
