NEWARK, Del. – The Goldey-Beacom College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the University of Delaware Outdoor Track Open Invitational on Sat., Apr. 9 at Delaware Mini Stadium.
Highlights:
Freshman Hugo Morales broke junior Ben Kinley's 5K record with a time of 17:34.65.
Senior Mike Frantz broke 12 seconds for the third time this season in the 100-meter dash.
Sophomore David Zartler ran 52.03 seconds in the 400-meter dash to place second on the school's all-time list.
Freshman Tigan Frisby had her season-best performances in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.
The women's mid-distance runners all had a season-best performances as well: sophomore Liz Williams (2:44), freshman Symone Stewart (2:49) and freshman Carly Mitchell (2:55).
 
This meet concludes the season for the Lightning as head coach Brian Conley and Goldey-Beacom College say farewell to seniors Brittney Murray, Mike Frantz and Trevor Freburger.
