NEWARK, Del. - The Goldey-Beacom College women's cross country team competed at the Blue and Gold Invitational, hosted by the University of Delaware on Sat., Oct. 22.

Junior Elizabeth Williams paced the Lightning with a time of 28:13 to place 31st overall. She ran 7:34.4 splits.

Sophomore Carly Mitchell ran one of her best-ever collegiate races to place second for the Lightning with a time of 32:53. Fellow sophomore Symone Stewart was the next runner to fnish at 33:51.

Next in for GBC was junior Alyssa Murray with a time of 35:34, followed closely by sophomore Tigan Frisby at 35:49.

The Lightning will compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships meet at Bellmont Plateau on Sun., Oct. 23.
