The Goldey-Beacom College Lightning Volleyball team traveled to Virginia Union University today for a tri-match including the host school Virginia Union University and St. Paul's College.

The Lightning first opponent was St. Paul's College.  The fight for the lead flipped back and forth until a seven point service run by A.J. Less than a half an hour after the 3-0 win over St. Paul's College the Lightning took the court again to play the host Virginia Union University.  The Lightning took the quick lead again in the first set and held on to it to win the first set.  Virginia Union took a quick lead for the second set but Lightning senior Christine Hudock struck with winning 8 service points to put the Lightning into the lead and to keep it for the second set win.  The third set was much like the first with the quick lead coming from the Lightning and holding on to it for their second win of the day and their second sweep.  The Lightning were led again by A.J.
