Philadelphia, PA – Women's Volleyball plays tough but falls to Philadelphia University

The Lightning volleyball team took the trip to Philadelphia University today for the CACC match up.  The Lightning started the match struggling to adjust against the attacks and serves of the Rams.  They dropped the first set 25-13.

After making a few adjustments, the Lightning hung with the Rams in the second game, but the Rams broke free first and won a close second set 25-19. 

The Lightning continued to play well in the third set, but the Rams proved too strong, and won the match with a third set score of 25-18.

The Lightning was led by Kellyn Nolan with 6 kills, Chantal Pierre with 5 kills and Christine Hudock with 8 digs.

The Lightning will host cross-town rival, Wilmington University on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 7:00pm.
