Wilmington, DE – Lightning Volleyball just misses against Holy Family

The Lightning volleyball team played host to Holy Family University today.  The Lightning, playing Holy Family for the first time this season, dropped a competitive first set 25-18. 

The second game was not close, as the Tigers bombarded the Lightning with jump serves, and won the second set 25-13. 

In a very spirited third set, the Lightning was serving at 23-24, but lost the set point, and fell 25-23.  The loss moves Goldey-Beacom College to 6-5 overall and 2-2 in the CACC. 

The Lightning will travel to Caldwell College on Saturday, September 27, 2008 for their next match.
