Philadelphia, PA – Lightning Women Improve Times at Philly Metro
The Lightning women's cross-country team ran today at the Philly Metro meet at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Looking to get stronger as a team the Lightning women did just that.
Thesalie Miller, leading the Lightning, improved her 5k to 24.50 while Brittney Murray improved to 25.06. Marie Fountain, running a personal best, shaved almost four seconds off her time to run 26.40 in just her fourth meet. Nitasia Dupree and Myishea Hales also ran personal best times in the 5k with each of them shaving more than two seconds off their times. The Lightning women finished in 14th position overall.
The women will next host the GBC Fall Invitational on October 4, 2008 at 10:30am at Carousel Park.
