Norfolk, VA – Women's Cross Country runs tough race in Virginia

The Lightning women's cross country opened their season at the Blue Marlin Open at Virginia Wesleyan College.  Four Lightning women ran the 6k (3.75 miles) race for the individual title.  Brittney Murray led the Lightning with a time of 34.42, which was good for 84^th.  Marie Fountain, Nitasia Dupree, and Myishea Hales finished out the Lightning line up for the race.  The Lightning will next race at Keystone College in Pennsylvania on September 6, 2008.
