Wilmington, DE – Lightning battle back at Wilmington University but just misses

The Lady Lightning went across town to Wilmington University to face the Wildcats for the second time this season.  The Lightning were seeking revenge as the Wildcats defeated the Lightning in the Joseph West Jones Center in late January 91-72. 

The Lightning and Wildcats took the floor and in the first half alone there were three lead changes with neither team getting more than seven points ahead of the other.  The Wildcats took the first half lead of 30-29.  The Lightning were led by Toni Jones with 18 points and 7 rebounds. 

The Wildcats came out for the second half firing the ball.  The Wildcats held the lead throughout the second half.  The Lightning fell short in the game and were defeated 78-75 by the Wildcats.  Toni Jones led the Lightning with a double-double of 31 points, 13 rebounds.  Natasha Scott added 15 points for the Lightning.
