Wilmington, DE – Volleyball comes to close to Nyack College

Lightning Volleyball hosted Nyack College in a CACC match-up today.  The first set was a back and forth battle with the Nyack Warriors that included thirteen ties, with the last one coming at 21-21.  However, the Warriors prevailed and took the first set 25-23. 

The second and third sets were just as competitive, but he Warriors held serve and dropped the Lightning 25-21 in each set.  The loss moves the Lightning to 6-9 overall and 2-6 in the CACC.  Nyack improves to 4-11, 3-3.

The Lightning was led by Christine Hudock with 16 digs and Roni Shaner with 21 assists.  Chantal Pierre added 2 solo blocks and 8 kills for the game.

The Lightning will travel to the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia for a CACC match on Tuesday, October 7^th at 7:00pm.
