Cheyney, PA – Women's Cross-Country runs well at Cheyney University

The Lightning women's cross-country team traveled to Cheyney University on Saturday for the Larry Simmons 5k cross-country invitational.  The Lightning ran well, as two runners finish in the top 20, and the team finished in 4^th place overall.

Leading the Lightning was Freshman Marie Fountain who finished in 12^th place with a time of 26:29.82.  Aigul Kalykova came in next for the Lightning finishing in 19^th place with a time of 31:47.03.  Nitasia Dupree finished close behind in 21^st place with a time of 32:18.84.  Myishea Hales was not far behind Dupree in 24^th position with a time of 37:14.71 and rounding out the Lightning was Dacia Williams in 26^th place with a time of 38:46.49.

The Lightning will next race at Belmont Plateau for the CACC Championships on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 3:00pm.
