Philadelphia, PA – Volleyball drops tough match to Holy Family
The Lightning Volleyball team traveled to Holy Family University on Tuesday evening for a CACC match. The team struggled in the first set against the service game of Holy Family, and was unable to climb back into the game, dropping the first set 25-15.
The Lightning started the second set strong with quality serves coming from Emily McMichael, but could not hold the lead. Once again, the Tigers service and attacking game was too strong, as the Lightning dropped the set 25-12.
The third set started with the teams trading points, as the Lightning hung in the game with the Tigers. However, the Holy Family finished off the Lightning, and took the third set 25-17, and the match 3-0.
The Lightning will next play host to Philadelphia University on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 7:00pm in the Dig for the Cure benefit match.
