Wilmington, DE – Men's soccer falls to Nyack
The Lightning men's soccer team played host to Nyack College for the CACC match-up on Saturday. The Lightning went out strong in the first half but could not find the back of the net. Nyack scored first with a header ball off a set piece, just six minutes into the game.
Nyack would see a barrage of shots, as the Lightning out-shot the Warriors 23-16 for the game, and held a 12-4 advantage in corners. However, Nyack secured the win with a goal in the 64th minute. The loss drops Goldey-Beacom College to 2-10 overall and 1-6 in the CACC. Nyack improves to 6-10-1, 3-4.
The Lightning will next play host to Holy Family University on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 3:30pm.
