Wilmington, DE – Men's soccer just misses in overtime against Wilmington
The men's soccer team traveled to Wilmington University for a game against their cross-town rival. Twenty minutes into the game, sophomore Erlin Rodezno intercepted a Wildcats pass, and scored an unassisted goal to give the Lightning the 1-0 lead.
The Wildcats scored the equalizer in the 54th minute of the second half, to force overtime. Eight minutes into extra time, Nick McDonald headed in a corner kick to secure the win for Wilmington. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 10-3-1 overall and 8-1 in the CACC. The Lightning drop to 2-10, 1-5.
The Lightning will play host to Nyack College on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 3:00pm.
