Assistant Women's Tennis Coach

Troy Donato, who enters with experience on the NCAA Division II level, has been picked by Goldey-Beacom College as an assistant women’s tennis coach.

Donato arrives after serving last season as an assistant at West Chester for both the men’s and women’s programs. He helped with recruiting as well as assisting all the players with conditioning and skill sets. This helped the women’s squad go 14-4, reach the NCAA Tournament, close eighth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Mid-Atlantic Region and have two players regionally ranked.

Donato since 2014 has served as an assistant professional at RAW Tennis & Fitness in Wilmington, instructing weekly summer camps and running off-site locations to expand the business.

He also has served since 2012 as a customer service representative for DuPont Country Club. He helps with any concerns with the customers, assists with product stocking based on customer input and helps with the overall management of the facility.

Donato played his freshman campaign in 2011-12 at Elizabethtown, his sophomore season in 2012-13 at Immaculata and last two seasons from 2014-16 at West Chester. He went 11-3 in singles at Immaculata with all of his victories in straight sets and 11-3 in singles his junior campaign at West Chester in 2014-15.

Donato also has done charitable work for Tennithon, for which Goldey-Beacom has participated, and Zumbathon for multiple organizations.
