Octivia Booker

    Assistant Track & Field Coach
Octivia Booker is in her first season as one of the assistant track & field coaches for the Lightning.
 
Booker arrives from A.I. DuPont High School, where she was the hurdles coach during the 2018 season.  She also has served as the school’s volleyball coach since 2017.
 
She also has been a track & field coach at AX Track & Field in Wilmington.  She has led the kids in the 200-meter dash, the 100-meter hurdles, the long jump and the high jump.
 
Booker collegiate competed at Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference-rival Georgian Court University.  She helped the Lions win three straight the CACC titles, was the conference’s 2016 long jump champion and that year finished as the league’s Field Athlete of the Year.
 
Booker also competed at Hodgson Vo-Tech, graduating with the school record in the long jump, triple jump, high jump and hurdles.  She was voted the school’s Athlete of the Year, serving as captain for both the track & field and basketball teams, and was on the school’s Sportsmanship Committee.
 
She also has done volunteer work at the Governor Bacon Retirement Home, with St. Francis Hospital and with Christiana Hospital.
 
Booker graduated Georgian Court in 2016.
