Mark Murdock

Mark Murdock is in his first season as an assistant track & field coach for Goldey-Beacom.
 
Murdock arrives after spending the last four years with local and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference-rival Wilmington (DE), guiding the sprinters, vertical jumpers and horizontal jumpers.  He assisted in conditioning, recruiting, monitoring study hall and progress reports, and assisted in all meet preparation.
 
The Wildcats in his time produced the 2021 men’s 4x400-meter relay and 2022 men’s long jump CACC champions.  They were among 14 individual/relay teams which finished in the top eight at the CACC Championships and scored points under his watch.
 
Murdock’s prior experience included coaching at William Penn High School from 1993-95, coaching at the University of Delaware from 1995-2000, head Track & Field/Cross Country coach at Archmere High School from 2000-02 and coaching at Tatnall High School from 2003-10.
 
He ran track & field at the University of Delaware, holding the school’s second-best time in the 200-meter dash along with the third best both in the 55 and 100-meter dashes.
 
Murdock graduated the UD with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies.  He also is a United States of America Track & Field (USATF) Level 1 member.
