Brian Conley, a cross country standout at East Stroudsburg University, is in his 10th season as Goldey-Beacom’s cross country coach.
 
Under his tutelage, the men notched a fourth-place finish at the 2013 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship to go with fifth-place honors his first two years.  He has had six all-conference picks that include two in each of the last two years and the 2014 Rookie of the Year in Chandler Brooks.  The Lightning have gone to the NCAA East Regional seven times under his watch, closing as high as 16th each of the last two years.
 
The women have finished as high as seventh in 2007 and twice placed at the NCAA East Regional.
 
Conley came on board after spending six seasons as the head cross country and indoor track & field coach at Christiana High School.  He produced numerous individual state champions during that time, led the team to an undefeated season as well as a third-place team finish at the state meet.
 
At East Stroudsburg, Conley was a four-year member of the University’s cross country and track & field teams.  During his time, he was named All-PSAC and All-ECAC.  He ran a five-mile time of 26:40, a five-kilometer time of 15:32 and a three-kilometer time of 9:07.  He also was an All-State runner in high school at Newark HS.
 
Conley is a science teacher at Appoquinimink High School and resides in Earleville, MD.
