Biography
With the Lightning: Second-year transfer from Delaware State…good size at 6-6 and a lot of basketball talent and athleticism…excellent perimeter skills for his size and a great rebounder.
2009-10 Season: Earned three top-10 marks on the school’s all-time single-season records lists in scoring (5th, 432 points), rebounding (2nd, 230) and three-point field goals (6th, 49)…All-CACC 2nd Team…CACC player of the week, Dec. 14…All-CACC Tournament Team…Team Top Newcomer award winner…2nd on the team, 10th in the CACC in scoring with 15.4 ppg…team’s No. 1 rebounder at 8.4 rpg (9th in CACC)…10th in CACC in three-point field goal percentage, making 49 of 128 attempts (.383)…7th in CACC in three-point field goals made (49, 1.75 avg./g)…11th in CACC in offensive rebounds (2.68 avg./g) and 6th in defensive rebounds (5.54 avg./g)…pitched in with 34 assists, seven blocks and 24 steals…played in 28 games and started 27…scored in double-figures in all but two games and had five games of 20 or more points…recorded his career-high 28 against Washington Adventist (12/3)…had 10 double-doubles, and grabbed a career-high 17 boards at Chestnut Hill (12/12)…had a career-high seven steals at USciences (1/7).
2008-09 Season (@ Delaware State): Played in 29 games and made six starts…averaged 8.8 minutes played per game…scored 63 points (2.2 ppg) and had 52 rebounds (1.8 rpg)…recorded six assists, four blocks and three steals.
2007-08 Season (@ Delaware State): Appeared in 23 games and made nine starts…averaged 12.6 minutes played per contest…scored 70 points (3.0 ppg) and had 49 rebounds (2.1 rpg)…dished out eight assists and had five steals and one block.
High School: Standout two-sport athlete at New Rochelle High School…played football and basketball…lettered in basketball for four years under coach Bill Murphy…led team to New York State Championship runner-up in 2005…team won the league championship his sophomore year and the league and regional championships his senior season…voted All New York State Tournament in 2005…All-County and All-League…most valuable player of the Westchester All-Star Game…won the Army Award for Outstanding Achievement.
