Dwayne Saunders was named as an assistant director of athletics at Goldey-Beacom in September 2013 and also serves as an assistant men's basketball coach.
 
During his time with the Lightning, he has helped Donte McGill to be named CACC Rookie of the Year in 2013-14, Corey Taite to be a multiple Rookie of the Week pick in 2014-15, Shakeem Wilson to be among the leading scorers in the country and Elijah Tillman to be the league’s leader in blocked shots.
 
In three seasons at Delaware County Community College from 2010-13, Saunders posted a 55-22 record and the squad made the conference tournament each year.  This included a 23-2 mark during the 2011-12 season. Honored as the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year in 2011, he led Delaware County to a 24-2 mark and the school’s first EPCC title since 1996.
 
Saunders in 2011 led Delaware County to an 18-8 record and a berth in the EPCC semifinals.  In 2012-13 he coached the NJCAA Player of the Year in Tayqwane Wallace.
 
In addition to his duties at Delaware County Community College, Saunders worked as a drug and alcohol counselor and case manager for Connections, Inc.
 
A 2004 graduate of Lock Haven University with a B.A. in Psychology, Saunders earned his Master's degree in Sport Management from East Stroudsburg in 2009.  He resides in Wilmington, with his 14-year-old daughter, Deyonte.
