Biography

With the Lightning: Will play a prominent role in the team's fortunes in 2011-12...athletically gifted forward who plays above the rim...will look to build on a very productive 2010-11 campaign.

2010-11 Season: Played in 28 of 30 games and made five starts...key player off Hammond's bench as he averaged 22.8 minutes per-contest...registered 7.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per-game...averaged nearly one block per-game and 1.2 steals...had five double-figure scoring performances including a season-high 16 points at Virginia State (12/30/10)...also had five double-figure rebounding games including a season-high 12 boards against PhilaU (2/23/11)...recorded a double-double in the PhilaU game with 11 points and 12 rebounds...shot .410 from the field for the season, making 75 of 183 attempts.


2008-09 Season (@ UMBC): Appeared in 23 games and made eight starts…averaged 21.8 minutes per-game…score 6.7 ppg and had 4.5 rpg…dished out 11 assists, blocked 12 shots and had 15 steals.
2006-07 Season (@ Fairfield): Appeared in 25 games and made 11 starts…scored 2.0 ppg and grabbed 1.6 rpg…had 12 steals, four blocks and 11 assists.
High School: Highly-touted recruit out of Chester High School…first attended Milton Hershey from 9th-11th grade…played varsity football (9th-11th) and ran track (9th-10th) at MH…played basketball all four years…played under head coach Bob Ebert at MH and Fred Pickett at Chester…led teams to conference championships all four years and a district championship at MH his junior season…helped football team to two co-conference championships and the track team to two district championships…ranks 17th on the Chester HS all-time leading scorer list (1,106 points)…most improved player award winner his junior year…three-time All-Conference selection…distinguished honor roll student.
Personal: Richard “Rich” Flemming…chose to attend GBC for its master’s program…chose to play Division II athletics at GBC for the opportunity to continue both his athletic and academic career…hobbies include music, technology and playing golf and soccer…high school teammate of Karon Burton (Odessa, Tx.), Rahlir Jefferson (Temple), Russell Johnson (Robert Morrris).
