With the Lightning: Imposing post player and defender…tallest player on the roster at 6-5…offered quality minutes for the Lightning off the bench last season…should have an increasing role on the team in 2010-11.
2009-10 Season: Appeared in 14 games at an average of 5.7 minutes per-contest…scored eight points, pulled down 14 rebounds, had five blocks, one steal and one assist…had a season-high four rebounds against Washington Adventist.
2008-09 Season: Appeared in 19 games for the Lightning…averaged 6.3 minutes per game off the bench…pulled down 30 rebounds (1.6 rpg) and scored 14 points (0.7 ppg)…had six blocked shots and two steals.
High School: Standout four-year player for Steve Burke at Thunderbird H.S. in Arizona…led team to two Arizona State Championships and three conference championships….honor student.
Personal: Megan Knowles…chose to come to GBC because she liked the atmosphere...chose to play Division II athletics to challenge herself…enjoys reading, shopping and watching movies…describes herself as “awesome.”
