Biography
With the Lightning: Should provide depth at the guard/forward position…can provide quality minutes off the bench and is a team captain and leader.
2009-10 Season: Team’s Most Improved Player award winner…played in 19 games and made two starts…recorded two points, one steal, one rebound and two assists when she earned a start against St. Michael’s (12/21) and helped the team to a win…recorded season-highs of four points and three assists against Concordia (1/9)…had a season-high six rebounds at Washington Adventist (1/12).
2008-09 Season: Played in 23 games and made 13 starts…scored 78 points (3.4 ppg) and grabbed 34 rebounds (1.5 rpg)…had six assists, 10 steals and two blocks…had three double-digit scoring performances, including a season-high 16 points against Saint Michael’s College on Dec. 30.
2007-08 Season: Appeared in 20 games for the Lightning, averaging 9.2 minutes per game…pitched in with 30 points (1.5 ppg) and 27 rebounds (1.4 rpg)…dished out three assists and had four steals and one block.
High School: Two-sport athlete at Upper Darby High School…played both basketball and softball…earned three varsity letters in softball for Karen Bosche and three varsity letters in basketball for Collen Hafich…team’s most valuable player her freshman year…twice selected team’s most improved player…Coach’s Award winner and school’s Most Courageous Athlete Award (female) at Upper Darby…honor student.
Personal: Amber “Gully” Gullickson…chose to come to GBC “because I loved the personal atmosphere after coming from a large high school. I knew they offered an awesome education for me to succeed”…chose to play Division II athletics “because it was always a dream for me to play college ball. Once I arrived, I knew this team was my family”…very artistic, she has designed the logos for the team’s apparel the last three seasons…also enjoys swimming, laughing, going to the beach, working out, “jammin’ out to music in the car”…describes herself as “crazy.”
