1/12/2026 12:00:00 AM

(men's schedule) / (women's schedule)

With the men coming off a conference championship and the women continuing its ascent, Goldey-Beacom looks for more of the same with the announcement of the 2026 schedule.

The squads open things with three indoor meets, going February 6 at the Fastrack National Invite in Staten Island, the following weekend at the Widener Indoor Classic and February 20 at the Penn State Tune-Up.

The outdoor campaign begins March 7 at the Lloyd Sigler Spring Meet in Salisbury, MD.  The season continues with two meets at Widener and one each at West Chester, Ursinus and Delaware.  The final meet as full squads is April 21 at Haverford before the teams look to have qualifiers April 23-25 at the Penn Relays.

The teams then head to Lakewood, NJ from May 1-2 for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships.  This will provide many great memories as the men's unit last season won its first CACC title and the women's squad finished a program-best third.

GBC then hopes to have qualifiers for the NCAA Championships, which will be from May 21-23 in Emporia, KS.

Looking to build off a momentous 2025 is junior Jalen Wright (Wilmington, DE), one of the most talented athletes on the Pike Creek campus in any sport.  His first awards came at the CACC Championship with three gold medals as he won the 400-meter dash, the 400-meter hurdles and was part of the champion 4x400-meter relay team.

This continued in Wright being named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-East Region before he was tabbed CACC Men's Track Athlete of the Year.  Wright closed the year with seven victories and 15 top-10 showings.

Junior Chris Robinson (Philadelphia, PA) also was part of the 4x400-meter relay team and also was tabbed USTFCCCA All-Region.  He was third in the 400-meter dash at the CACC Championship, ran at the Penn Relays and recorded six top-10 finishes.

Senior Jayvon Laguerre (Milford, DE) last season was a key in the high jump, ending with four top-10 finishes that included fifth at the CACC Championship, sixth in the Terrier Classic at Boston University and seventh at the Paul Donahue Invitational.

The women's team once again will feature sophomore Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, NJ), who took the league by storm.  She was named CACC Women's Track Rookie of the Year, USTFCCCA All-Region, closed second at the CACC Championship in the 200-meter dash, third in the 400-meter dash, fourth in the 100-meter dash and fourth with the 4x400-meter relay team.

Dixon finished the year with six wins and 20 top-10 finishes.

Senior Jourdyn Rumph (Ardmore, PA) had a decorated spring that began with victories at the Lloyd Sigler Meet in the shot put, discus throw and the high jump.  It ended with a second-place showing in the hammer throw at the CACC Championship in addition to closing sixth in the shot put and seventh in the discus throw.

Rumph closed the season with 16 top-10 finishes.

Sophomore Liv Drewling (Dusseldorf, Germany) returns after an exceptional CACC Championship in which she closed in the top-10 in six events, including second in the high jump, third in the 800-meter dash, fourth in the 400-meter dash and fourth with the 4x400-meter relay team.  She had 18 top-10 finishes on the year, including victories at the Lloyd Sigler Meet in the 400-meter dash, 4x400-meter relay and the high jump.

Junior Tania Alfaro (San Jose, Costa Rica) is back in the fold after missing last season due to injury.  The 2024 campaign saw her record nine top-10 showings that included victory in the 100-meter dash at the Stockton Invite and fourth with the 4x100-meter relay team at the CACC Championship.
