Cross Country Unveils 2025 Schedule

8/13/2025 12:00:00 AM

(men's schedule) / (women's schedule)

Goldey-Beacom again looks to make waves in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference by doing so against what will be versus its usual tough competition.

The Lightning open things September 5 at the WCU Season Opener before going to TCNJ the following week for the Herb Lorenz Invitational.  GBC on September 19 will be at the Delaware Invitational before visiting Lehigh on October 3 for the prestigious Paul Short Run.

GBC on October 11 will be at the Golden Ram Invitational before heading to Belmont Plateau on October 26 for the CACC Championships.  The men closed fourth at last year's conference meet and the women ended fifth.

The NCAA Regionals are November 8 in Hopkinton, NH and the NCAA Championships are November 22 in Kenosha, WI.

GBC once again will get a huge boost from junior John Ferry (Rising Sun, MD), the only one for the Lightning to compete in all 14 races over the last two years.  Continuing to play a huge role for the squad, Ferry last season won the season-opening Philadelphia Cross Classic before closing second at the Delaware Invitational, fifth at the Golden Rams Invitational and fifth at the CACC Championship.

That success continued on the outdoor circuit, where Ferry ended second in the 10,000-meter run at the CACC Championship in helping Goldey-Beacom win its first team conference title.

Senior Kosiani Dunkley (Kingston, Jamaica) also is back after an outstanding 2024 fall season.  He was third at the Delaware State Invite, ninth at the CACC Championship and three times was picked to the league's Weekly Honor Roll.

Dunkley also scored key points in helping the outdoor unit win the conference title, ending second in the 800-meter run and third in the 1,500-meter run.

The women's team sees the return of senior Haley Schofield (Wilmington, DE), who was one of five on last year's squad to run in all six races.  She closed 14th at the Golden Rams Invitational and 24th at the CACC Championship.

Senior Kaylah Hill (Brooklyn, NY) also ran in all six races and again hopes to be a factor.  She finished last year 29th at the Golden Rams Invitational and 52nd at the CACC Championship.
