Goldey-Beacom Women's Basketball had a strong second half, outscoring Felician by 10 points en route to a 78-66 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory in Rutherford, NJ.
The Lightning went into the second half only leading the Golden Falcons by two points, but were able to pick up momentum in the final 20 minutes of play to secure their third conference win of the season.
Goldey-Beacom was led by sophomore Katie Yoder (Dublin, PA), who finished with 18 points and nine rebounds. Junior Rory Ciszkowski (Wilmington, DE) added 17 points, senior Julie Kulesza (Wilmington, DE) had 13 points, sophomore Genesis Garcia (Aguada, P.R.) finished with 10 points, and sophomore Maddy Hackman (Vernon, B.C.) had a career-best with nine points.
Felician saw three players reach double-double status and was led by Stephanie Formby, finishing with 31 points and 10 rebounds. Ane Valle added 16 points and 11 rebounds and Katherine Ritchie had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Goldey-Beacom plays next on Wednesday against Georgian Court at 6pm in the Joseph West Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
