Goldey-Beacom men's basketball faced a tough Felician squad in Rutherford, NJ and came up short on the offensive end, resulting in a 88-61 defeat.
The Lightning headed into the second half only trailing by 10, but the Golden Falcons were able to swing most of the momentum their way, scoring 45 second half points en route to their 10th victory of the season.
Goldey-Beacom was led by freshman Tre Powell (Mount Laurel, N.J.), who finished with 17 points, five rebounds and three steals. Sophomore Zakari McQueen (Petersburg, Va.) added 12 points and two steals and junior Shane Taylor (Ellicott City, Md.) had 10 points and five assists.
Felician was led by Abdul Shanunu, who finished with 22 points and Jhonny Tovar who finished with a triple-double with 16 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Goldey-Beacom plays next on Wednesday against Georgian Court at 8pm in the Joseph West Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
