Goldey-Beacom Cross Country had solid outings as both teams traveled to Galloway, NJ to compete in the Osprey Open.
The Men finished twelfth overall in the eight-kilometer run. Sophomore John Ferry (Rising Sun, Md.) led for the Lightning, finishing 29th with a time of 26:39.54.Â
Freshman Kalle Ohlund (Huskvarna, Sweden) placed 45th with a time of 27:15.14 and Freshman Cesar Martinez finished 106th with a time of 29:04.04.
The Women's side placed 14th in the six-kilometer run. Senior
Izzy Popoff (Cicero, N.Y.) led for the women's squad, placing 97th with a time of 27:00.99. Senior
Ny'jashia Smith (Newark, DE) finished in 107th with a time of 27:32.46.
Goldey-Beacom competes on Friday in the Delaware Invitational, with the Women beginning at 9am and the Men at 9:45am.
