Goldey-Beacom saw its Women's Cross Country and Women's Soccer teams notch the highest grade-point average in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for their sport with nine teams for the College recording at least a 3.0 GPA.

Women's Soccer checked in at a 3.625 GPA with Women's Cross Country totaling a 3.598 GPA.  The remaining seven teams for the Lightning with at least a 3.0 GPA include Women's Tennis (3.535), Women's Basketball (3.483), Softball (3.473), Men's Golf (3.353), Volleyball (3.322), Baseball (3.237) and Men's Cross Country (3.146).

Goldey-Beacom is one of four schools in the 12-team conference which had multiple teams close first in their sport.

"We are extremely proud of the academic success our student-athletes have had," Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator/Women's Basketball Coach Bethann Burke said. "This has become commonplace at Goldey-Beacom College and we continue looking forward to more recognition for all their hard work in the future."

GBC had 31 of its student-athletes tabbed College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District.  That list includes Alex Lowry (Wenonah, NJ), picked both for Women's Soccer and Softball.  It also lists Justin Jump (Wilmington, DE), the CACC Top XVI Award winner in Baseball for having the highest GPA of all teams competing at the finals site of that sport.

The College had 61 student-athletes who were named to the CACC All-Academic Team, which is based on cumulative GPA for those in at least their second year at their present institution.

Goldey-Beacom also had 165 student-athletes picked to the CACC Fall Academic Honor Roll and 153 tabbed for the Spring Academic Honor Roll.  This is based on a student-athlete's GPA for that semester, no matter what class they are.
