Goldey-Beacom men's basketball faced a tough Adelphi squad and was dealt a 68-62 loss before heading into the holiday break.
The Lightning were able to bring their deficit down to four with ten seconds left to play but were unable to prevail in the final seconds. This victory gives Adelphi their seventh straight win of the season and twelfth overall.
Goldey-Beacom was led by sophomore Zakari McQueen (Petersburg, VA), who finished with 20 points, going 6-11 from three-point range. Senior David Robinson (Philadelphia, PA) added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Lightning.
Adelphi saw three players reach double figures in scoring, which included Al-Fatir Connor with 17, Andres Fulgencio with 14 and Dayshaun Walton with 11.
Goldey-Beacom does not play again until January 4 against Bloomfield at home at 3pm.
