Goldey-Beacom's Cross Country squads saw senior Madelynn Cool (Smyrna, DE) make the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team a third time, junior Haley Schofield (Wilmington, DE) get her second appearance and sophomore John Ferry (Rising Sun, MD) earn his first nod.

Cool this season competed in all six races, ending 13th at the Golden Rams Invitational in 22:06.02 and 31st at the CACC Championship in 23:04.74.  She ran in all 26 races for the Lightning during her four years.

Schofield also took to the line in all six races, closing 14th at the Golden Rams Invitational in 22:14.38 and 24th at the CACC Championship in 22:39.06.  She has run in all of the Lightning's 18 races over the last three years.

Ferry was named all-conference in a year which he was the only one on the men's team to compete in all seven races.  He won the season-opening Philadelphia Cross Classic in 28:16.0, ended second at the Delaware Invitational in 28:14, closed fifth at the Golden Rams Invitational in 16:32.81, ended fifth at the CACC Championship in 27:43.56 and was 46th at the NCAA Regional.

The men's team closed fourth at this year's CACC Championship and had three all-conference runners for a second straight year.  The women's unit ended fifth for the second consecutive season, matching the program's best finish.
